Baby floating in the Window

“ About the dancing possibilities of helplessness ”

“ In Miri’s drawings, a fleshy baby-like texture is seen attached to a window frame… floating within a wood texture… The window, the wood texture and the baby originate from three different and remote worlds .

All three collapse on the drawing’s surface. The image is in fact a crushed matrix in which an embryo is enclosed, longing to be hugged and looked at .

The embryo is caught within the space between the wood texture and the window. The embryo’s very being between these two unresponsive textures serves as a mute testimony to the necessity of its creation… In the drawings, a moment in the baby’s procreation is frozen in time. Yet the birth option no longer exists .
